Duties

Reporting to the Spanish Managing Director, the primary function of this role will be to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities for the company’s key service offerings. Working with the MD, the successful candidate will facilitate a growth plan, targeting key business prospects within the SME, Not-for-Profit and clientele to facilitate organic growth through new channels across Iberia region. As the business expands, they will take on responsibility for new client relationships and seek to maximise returns by identifying opportunities for cross-sell and additional partnerships.

As one of the key parts of the business’s growth strategy and acting as the face of the business, this highly autonomous role will allow the right individual to utilise innovative and creative methodologies to successfully identify and realise new business partnership opportunities.

Specifically, this will include:

  • Work with the Spanish MD to develop a Growth and Go to Market strategy, including identification of key target industries and clients
  • Work autonomously to develop long and short-term strategies to deliver continued new customer growth and achieved agreed targets
  • Identify key markets for growth, actively engage in research to formulate how best to approach and capitalise their potential
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities for the broader business across existing and allied clients, affiliates and subsidiaries
  • Create and maintain professional networks to drive awareness and increased scope of partnership opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to attend professional networking events, opportunities to present to industry sector bodies and utilise innovative means to communicate to a broad audience
  • Identify high-potential customers for growth opportunities through their networks or industry influence
  • Be active online to support the execution of content including social media, CRM, website, and other products
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of developments in the marketplace and relevant industry segments, to inform strategy and planning
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to deliver the highest level of service including sharing market and governance intelligence, input on growth opportunities, and continued customer engagement
  • Work with the business to onboard new clients effectively and ensure excellence in delivery is maintained
  • Accompany in-house subject matter experts across legal, compliance, consulting and company secretarial on strategic client meetings to identify and close new opportunities

Required experience/skills

You will be comfortable in presenting to business leaders including CFOs, CEOs, Departmental Heads and MDs, you will be an influential and confident professional who understands the uniqueness of each client’s business. A confident but also empathetic communicator, you will appreciate the importance of active listening and understanding in order to deliver and articulate the best possible solution to each client.

Energetic, outgoing and with a positive mindset, you will be someone who is attracted by the opportunity to grow the performance of an already high-performing business as well as working alongside a passionate MD to identify new and untapped market growth potential.

In addition, you will have:

  • Experience in a solution-based senior sales role; identifying and realising opportunities for new business
  • Demonstrable experience in service or consultancy-based selling with a solution-based, innovative focus
  • A track record of sales success and overachievement and a hunger to uncover new opportunities
  • A customer-centric philosophy and mindset with a solution-focus and commitment to quality
  • Comfort in networking and effective communication skills, including presenting to key stakeholders
  • Established effective negotiation skills and experience and comfort in presenting to senior leadership as well as business owners
  • Experience in solution selling, ideally within a service-based industry
  • Professional curiosity and the willingness to learn from subject matter experts
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, and an ability to represent the business with authenticity, and credibility
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the confidence to push for ever greater success in your career as well as the business’s performance
  • An ethics-first mindset and a commitment to maintain the company’s reputation for excellence.
